JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations will focus on supporting commercial leadership on activities aiding in the acquisition of annual sales targets. Working as an intermediary between functional groups (i.e. Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT), the Senior Manager will develop and execute sales operations strategy with a focus on creating and implementing processes to improve internal and external efficiencies for activities impacting sales. This position will also be the central point of contact for all Sales Force communications.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Force Communications:
The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations will coordinate all field sales communications to ensure quality, relevancy, accuracy and consistency. Actively encourages Management communications to promote employee “connectedness.” S/he gains voice of customer insight in alignment with company strategic plan where necessary.

The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations will provide analytics/metrics support to commercial leadership team including forecast, measurement of results, identify trends, and create new sales metrics as needed. Provide analysis on a variety of sales metrics (sales, productivity, effectiveness, etc.), review market analytics to determine customer needs, volume potential, and work with marketing to develop sales campaigns to accommodate sales goals of company and maintain accurate sales database and manage customer account lists and territory alignment. S/he will lead initiatives within Commercial Operations to continuously improve understanding of business trends, utilize internal systems to provide flexible solutions to emerging issues throughout the year using data driven decision making decisions and support formal business planning processes as needed.
CRM:
The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations will develop and update standardized reporting across the company, provide metrics and analysis around pipeline data collected to better understand current business and troubleshoot and continue to improve the way opportunities are managed and communicated on both a micro and macro level in order to achieve business results.
IT Systems Interface:
The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations has selling contact with IT on all database and system needs and is responsible for oversight of phone and mobility policy. S/he may have other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualifications
The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate level degree a plus), and have an average of 6 or more years’ commercial experience with a minimum of 4 years in the healthcare industry. S/he must possess a minimum of 3 years people management experience, experience working with a direct sales force and knowledge of ERP system highly desirable (QAD knowledge a plus). CRM and Business Intelligence experience is preferred. S/he must possess the ability and proven track record of leading and driving major projects and initiatives to successful conclusion and b detail oriented with ability to multi-task and work effectively in a changing dynamic environment. S/he must possess computer skills in Outlook, Word, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint. S/he must possess strong Excel and Access data management (data manipulation) skills and familiarity with database querying and reporting and strong oral and written communication competence along with flexibility. S/he must possess frequent exercise of independent good judgment and initiative with excellent practical analytical skills with superb attention to detail.
This position is located in Menlo Park, CA and requires no travel.
