Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for an Aviation Facility Maintenance Technician for our Aviation hangar facility, which is located in West Trenton, New Jersey. The Facility Maintenance Technician will report to the Director of Aircraft Maintenance.

The Aviation Facility Maintenance Technician will be accountable for the security of the building, property, aircraft and authorized people. This technician is responsible for the environmental matters relating to the building, property and aircraft. He/she will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the hangar and office systems including electric, plumbing, HVAC, building structure, fuel farm, landscaping, cleaning, snow removal and all other aspects of operation ensuring they are safe for employees, contractors, and visitors. They will also assume responsibility for the security of Johnson & Johnson property, utilizing a security system (training to be administered upon employment).
Additional responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following: Maintains the Aviation hangar facility and surrounding infrastructure. Maintains building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, air compressor and Aviation fire suppression systems. Operates forklift, scissor lift and conventional power tools. Maintains fuel farm in accordance with Federal and State Regulations. Inspects the fuel farm, records fuel quantities and submits report daily. Generates daily and monthly reports regarding fuel farm usage. Schedules, accepts and records fuel deliveries as required. Maintains ground support equipment. Responsible for maintaining facility grounds. Monitors, performs weekly/monthly facility fire suppression system tests as required. Coordinates and oversees outside repair contractors as well as direct hands on facility maintenance. Completes all duties associated with shipping/receiving of all goods as directed. Makes pickup and deliveries in support of the Aviation Department as directed. Transports Flightcrews, Maintenance and support staff to and from airports as directed. Continues self-improvement through study and observation.
Qualifications
A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required. This individual must undergo and satisfactorily pass a background check. A good motor vehicle record and a valid driver’s license is required. A minimum of 6 months’ experience working in an airport/hangar environment is required. The ability to lift at least 50 pounds is required. Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required. Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Fluency in Powerpoint is a plus. Experience in Building Maintenance or an Electrical background is required (i.e., having worked with any of the following: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building structure, fuel farm, landscaping, cleaning and snow removal). Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required. Ability to effectively deal with problems requiring solutions in a timely manner is required.
