Key responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting for corporate, internal and third party reporting submissions (includes Statistics Canada reporting)
- Prepare and submit monthly BRAVO and Lynx submissions (actual & budget)
- Generate monthly P&L and annual financial statements for legal reporting requirements
- Monitor all corporate reporting requirements and issue monthly calendars to ensure deadlines are met
- Communicate reporting requirements to all finance members and enforce calendar to ensure required information is received on time. Document issues relating to reporting deadlines and make recommendations for improvement
- Execute month-end responsibilities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to support the month-end close process
- Review J&J World Wide Procedures and ensure compliance. Present updates on changes to World Wide Procedures to all finance members
- Review all current manual processes and reports for possible automation
- Perform annual balance sheet forecasting exercise
- Ensure internal controls relating to SOX FROALIE cycle are functional. Proactively assess any process, control and system changes with SOX team.
- Maintain Standards of Procedure (SOP’s) around critical processes and control areas and coordinate training for finance business partners on roles and responsibilities relating to the FROALIE cycle.
- Provide financial leadership in preparing for internal and external audits for FROALIE cycle.
Qualifications
- Accounting designation (obtained or in progress) or MBA with Accounting major
- Minimum 2 years of work experience
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to challenge status quo and implement process changes
- Strong customer focus and communication skills
- Strong planning and organization skills
- Collaboration and teaming skills
- Experience with SAP an asset
