The Senior Marketing Manager - Global Energy – Front End, is responsible for developing the Horizon 3 vision, including BD assessments and GEGS strategies and initiatives. The Senior Marketing Manager will develop a vision for the future of Energy with focus on building a compelling value proposition in the Thoracic and Solid Organs specialties. The Senior Marketing Manager will develop bridging strategies on how to get to the vision with recommendations on new capabilities needed (e.g. different Energy delivery), investments and resources. The senior Manager will be the interface with Business Development team to assess the acquisition of new potential platforms and/or partnership with external partners. Also this position will be responsible to drive the GEGS strategies and initiatives to make sure every Energy product is supported with the right claims and evidence.
Responsibilities may include: Actively spend time with Customers in internal/field visits to ensure strong Customer insights are captured. Identify unmet needs and develop precise problem statements. Build and test new concepts, build business cases. Deliver significant/multiple products/product line/procedures with global scope and impact. Develop comprehensive growth strategies for critical market segments that span multiple procedures/specialties and/or multiple product lines. Develop and execute marketing plans (positioning, targeting, product, place, price and promotion) to achieve specific marketing objectives/outcomes. Builds strong alignment with partners and staff to deliver strategy and business plans for assigned products and procedures or platforms. Influences large cross functional teams. Work across major franchises to ensure alignment on goals, objectives and strategies for assigned procedures. Build brand equity by ensuring discipline on positioning. Develop TPP and claims strategy for pipeline projects.
Develop a pipeline of future leaders, by: Coaching and developing Marketing Managers in marketing competencies and GLP growth. Identify and recruit talent in partnership with HR and organizational partners. In case of direct report(s), ensure they have a development plan and understand what their job is every day. Implement above programs as appropriate in partnership with regional/cluster/local marketing teams, as well as cross-functional partners (e.g. R&D, Franchise Operations, Sales, Quality, Healthcare Economics / Market Access, Corporate Communications, etc.)
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of business experience is required. A minimum of 4 years marketing experience is required.
Prior international experience, particularly in emerging markets, is preferred. Prior product launch experience is preferred. Familiarity with Medical Device Products is preferred. Familiarity with Advanced Energy devices and related surgical procedures is preferred. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills are reqired. Demonstrated marketing skills creating value propositions, strategies, and plans that succeed in a dynamic market are required.
