The Cases and Trays Engineer is responsible for supporting all Franchise case and tray design and delivery. They are responsible for the technical leadership and project management to design and develop complex and sometimes unique projects or systems, leading global cross-functional project teams through all phases of the product development process, and will organize, plan, execute and oversee projects through product launch, commercialization, and post market surveillance.

The incumbent will act as a member of a cross-functional project core team (marketing, manufacturing, quality, testing, supply chain etc.). They will have responsibility to assist in defining design inputs, generating design concepts and prototypes, performing meaningful and timely design evaluations (such as tolerance analysis, , simulated use testing, dry labs etc.), and overseeing generation of documentation to create meaningful design solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of product verification and validation plans, and reports, to support global regulatory strategy.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering is required. A minimum of 5 years of new product development experience or equivalent is required. Utilization of Project Management tools, best practices in product design, and sheet metal process knowledge is a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in CAD (Pro-engineer preferred) and understanding of various types of manufacturing, mechanisms, materials, proper tolerancing, and drafting standards are required.

Proficiency utilizing the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc) is required. Experience with FDA Medical Device guidelines is preferred. Previous direct or indirect people management experience is preferred.
