Description

The Digital Technologist is an expert in the digital technology ecosystem within J&J Consumer for digital brand marketing and digital product development. This position guides and supports brand marketing and digital managers, agencies and build partners in Russia and the CIS cluster in digital technology related initiatives. This role also provides the interface to the Digital product engineering and other relevant parts of the global and regional IT organization as necessary. In addition, this role trains and consults relevant stakeholders on digital and related platform and technology standards.

Job Responsibilities

· Manage the discovery, requirements gathering and scoping process for potential digital projects, translating business requirements into technical requirements that meet business objectives.
- Serve as the primary technical interface to the digital brand marketing teams within the market, cluster and region as agreed, prior to formal project kick-offs. Clarify technical requirements, explain complex ideas clearly, and manage expectations particularly with respect service levels, organizational responsiveness and standards in the digital space
- Execute actions and manage co-ordination with and across business, other IT functions and vendors related to digital projects with regards to hosting, development, testing, training, DNS management, SSLs, IT security and compliance
- Manage the “how-to” on digital technology for day-to-day requests from cluster stakeholders based on internal standards and processes.
- Working with the cluster Digital Manager in coordinating the planning, production, versioning, and maintenance of existing digital assets and/or new digital assets, and ensure these are developed in a consistent and cost-effective way, following best practices and global / regional standards, and meet budget and schedule requirements.
- Co-own with the Digital Manager as relevant, the process of onboarding and educating agencies, build partners and brand / product management personnel on the technical standards to be used on any given project.
- Provide technical guidance on standards for ongoing innovation and improvements using support from global and regional Digital IT colleagues including Solution Architects and Competency Leads.
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs and SOWs.
- Support brands with ongoing work, participate in technical discussions with agencies, ensure response to support tickets and educate brands and product management team on the tools that enable self-serve content updates

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of digital technology experience in either a web development or consulting/SME role.
- Demonstrable experience of running digital projects and support operations with multinational organisations or equivalent
- Experience in Content Management Systems, especially Drupal or similar would be a plus.
- Understanding of web concepts and technologies such as XML/JSON APIs, HTML, CSS, MS Sharepoint, web hosting, responsive design and mobile web and mobile app solutions.
- Understanding of online security and best practice with regards to internet security
- Strong knowledge of front end and back end web and mobile development technologies.
- Experience scoping digital delivery projects that meet with business requirements delivered on schedule and budget.
- Proven ability to manage third party partners both in partnership development when required, and ongoing partner management
