Johnson & Johnson Medical is a name synonymous with excellence in the development, marketing and supply of medical and surgical products to healthcare professionals and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Marketing Manager to join Ethicon, Johnson & Johnson’s trusted leader in surgical care.
Reporting to the NZ Country Director you will manage multiple internal and external stakeholders, bring the voice of the customer and reflect that in our overall vision going forward. As such it will be critical to your success to understand both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, have the ability to deliver strategic solutions, conduct effective product lifecycle management and lead the development of new capabilities.
As the Marketing Manager for Ethicon in NZ, you will be responsible for the creation, review and execution of the brand’s marketing strategy across New Zealand and through driving the NZ market strategy ensure alignment to the overall ANZ marketing goals.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to driving revenue and profitability targets; identifying opportunities and risks for the portfolio and devising strategies to address these. In addition, deliver training to internal and external stakeholders, be the product expert and drive optimum performance results across key accounts.

You will be an advocate for the customer’s needs by consolidating “voice of the field” input into strategies, marketing programs, internal processes and sales enablement activities.
You are a product champion with extensive expert knowledge of your portfolio and will possess strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills where you are able to analyze, identify and capitalize on key drivers in the market. You will possess highly sophisticated influencing skills and can influence a broad range of stakeholders with differing viewpoints.
Strong commercial acumen coupled with the ability to assimilate and impart highly technical information is necessary for this opportunity. A background in medical devices is preferred but not essential.
You would ideally have a degree in a Business or Science related field and post graduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
On a personal level, you are someone who is passionate about patient outcomes and continuously strives to exceed customer expectations. You are a proactive individual who uses your initiative to identify opportunities, and you have mastered the ability to create genuine partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders through effective networking.
