TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Business Group: Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics
POSITION SUMMARY
Within an international environment, the Technical Support Specialist provides technical and scientific support and assistance to internal and external customers. He/She develops and maintains positive relationship with customers and works collaboratively with colleagues throughout the organization. He/She provides a high standard of quality service, which ensures customer satisfaction and the achievement of company objectives.
CORE ACTIVITIES:
- Independently investigates, troubleshoots and manages customer chemistry, equipment and software complaints and inquiries to provide comprehensive support to the customer and the field. Normal issues are handles alone and complex ones are handles with assistance.
- Handles complaints and potential health & safety issues in accordance with technical support international procedures.
- Support is provided on 1 or more product lines
- Support is provided in at least 2 language
- Provides communication link between customer and field personnel (Sales leads, request for visits etc.)
- Maintains and develops technical and/or scientific knowledge regarding products, their performance and issues surrounding product performance.
- Maintains hotline laboratory equipment
- Ensure that Bio-Safety procedures are applied
AS NEEDED ACTIVITIES:
- Provides enhanced level of support to selected group of customers.
- Attends customer/ affiliate meetings and participates in conference calls with countries
- Provides customer and/ or field personnel training and ensures logistics (pre and post training activities)
- Adapts training programs (Language, countries specificity)
- Trains and mentors new TSSs regarding troubleshooting, complaint handling, and the use of available tools.
- Participates in Hotline early hour & late hour coverage
- Creates, maintains, and/or updates procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical, or Biotechnology
- Fluent in both Thai and English. Ability to speak Korean will be Advantage.
- Medical Technologist experience preferred.
- Experience working in laboratory, blood bank.
LOCATION:
This position will be based in OCD Thailand office in Latkrabang Industrial Estate.
