Sourcing Analyst – External Operations

Role Overview

Reporting to a the MD&D External Operations Category Leader, the Sourcing Analyst supports strategic prioritization of Category initiatives by collecting, analyzing and managing purchasing data (spend analysis) and market intelligence (market cost drivers). The Procurement Analyst will become a key member and support sub-category teams, providing market analysis and analytical support. He/she will also support the SRM process, support compliance to purchasing policies and procedures, implementation of tools and performance management. He/she will possess the ability to coordinate and interface with multiple stakeholders (e.g. Tech Ops, Supplier Quality, External Operations, Planning, Finance, AS&I) in support of the Category Strategies and Business requirements.

Major Responsibilities

• Support Category team by providing analysis (Spend analytics, Data-mining and data-cleansing ). Responsible for establishing/identifying a link at the analytical level to execute analysis across Sectors as needed.
• Support Procurement and Category Managers in Business Planning processes (spend + savings analysis)
• Support Category Strategy Leaders, as needed, in sourcing events, including supplier due diligence activities to determine alignment with Business requirements and partnership prospects for the longer term, such as participaing in evaluating supplier capabilities, financial status, cost drivers and a supplier's business strategies.Perform other project-related tasks on an as needed basis.
• Support the Category Team in forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, enterprise risk assessments and other annual planning activities. Not only with the SRM team in the Category but also other cross functional team players like Tech Ops, Supplier Quality, EO Planning and AS&I
• Monitor compliance to local / regional agreements
• Assist in development of KPI’s and Procurement Dashboards; Report performance data for assigned categories or key business processes.
• Develop and create templates and dashboards identified by the SRM process and aligned with Category Strategy
• Maintain a current knowledge of available information databases and emerging tools and technology that will best support the procurement and operational initiatives. SME for internal systems and databases, such as Ariba, SAP, Views, Vision, etc.
• Provide reports as identified by Category and Sub-Category Leaders, upon request
• Manage per request of Sub-Category leads, specific programs and initiatives
• Contribute at team meetings and, at times, present to different audiences, as appropriate.
• Assist in Coordinating T2T meetings with S1 and Critical S2 Suppliers
• Partner with BB for Enterprise Policies and Initiatives, i.e. Sustainability goals;
• Support Enterprise driven RFX(s), MEPs as defined by Category and Sub-Category Leaders
• Support execution of Should Cost Modeling (e.g.. Xerox) as requested

Qualifications


Education & Experience

• 3-5 years related work experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Finance preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Business discipline, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or other related field is preferable
• PLDPs and GOLD program graduates, while not mandatory, are desirable
• Strong overall knowledge of Procurement processesses (P2P); excellent analytical skills
• Ability to source and collect necessary data & run analysis, with Manager guidance, to deliver output analyses quantifying business improvement, cost reduction and value add opportunities; includes utilization of tools, tactics and resources to leverage data; structure, framework and process to develop and propose opportunities.
• Ability to complete assigned goals and priorities of varying complexities; Experience managing multiple tasks, competing priorities and conflicts
• Proficiency in enterprise systems and tools preferred (SAP, Ariba, MS-Office, SharePoint, etc.)
• MD&D Procurement Experience Preferred
