Position Summary:
To interact with allocated accounts to promote Janssen products and act as ambassador for the wider company in order to meet sales targets.
To manage and develop the account and own the relationship between Janssen and the account for allocated brand/s, to ensure efficient alignment of efforts and maximise impact of all activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret account strategies and plans, and data from VINCI system and other sources where necessary/appropriate to gain a broad understanding of business environment in which account operates and insights into account needs
- Develop, deploy and maintain tactical account projects and action plans that align brand/Janssen and customer objectives to mutual benefit
- Allocate resources e.g. budgets/time across designated accounts, taking into account segmentation and targeting criteria
- Prepare appropriate plans to meet with customers (with contingencies) in order to deliver on account plan/project milestones
- Referring to account/project plans in VINCI system, prepare for presentations, meetings as appropriate
Selling
- Call on account contacts to build strong networks of relationships that enable the identification of mutually beneficial opportunities
- Gather and capture intelligence to support the business planning processes
- Present brand value propositions and projects to positively influence prescribing behaviours
- Record all customer interactions and information in the VINCI system in accordance with Vinci SOP
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with other Janssen colleagues to deliver account plan e.g. maintain appropriate awareness of all other functions/roles interacting with the account to ensure efficient alignment of efforts and maximise impact of all brand related activities between Janssen and the account.
- Respond to requests for support from other customer facing colleagues in own team or other regional divisional teams and proactively share information and insights where customer may be shared across products/territories via VINCI
- Contribute/collaborate with colleagues in region team
Admin
- Complete routine administration tasks on time and accurately e.g. VINCI, expenses, attend to emails, mileage reports, monthly reports, budget monitor, holiday planner
- Complete training and proactive self-learning on a timely basis to maintain knowledge of promoted products, therapeutic area and marketplace
- Maintain up to date product literature, marketing materials e.g. stand panels, SmPc’s and ensure secure destruction of out of date materials
Qualifications
Successful completion of requisite training for all promoted products and training to qualify interaction with healthcare professionals (e.g. ABPI in the UK) within specified timeframe.
Experience required:
- Must have strong account management experience with proven sales successes with the ability to build strong relationships
- Must have Pharmaceutical experience within secondary care.
- Strong network and understanding of Essex would be an advantage.
