POSITION OVERVIEW
The Marketing Associate ETHICON Surgical Care will provide support for a wide variety of functions to the marketing and sales teams responsible for the endo/mechanical, suture wound closure, hernia and gynecology portfolios on a regular basis. In addition, there will be defined projects, such as publication of the quarterly newsletter, sales contest support and internal promotion, and additional projects under the direction of the Director, Marketing. This position provides the opportunity to learn and become proficient in the medical device industry in a commercial capacity with opportunity for advancement as competencies and skills develop.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with respective Product Managers (PM), Professional Education Managers and Director of Marketing, to develop and execute on key marketing and professional education events, including conference and exhibit set up, registration and collateral.
Collaborate with field sales organization to support sample, collateral and conference requirements
Manage a sustainable process for all literature, video, clinical papers, conference assets, sample orders & product requests for sales force
Manage and coordinate marketing communications as determined by either the Director of Marketing as well as each PM
Responsible for the managing all New Product Introduction (NPI) documentation in a central repository and will assist PM’s in the completion of the NPI process
Responsible for New Vendor approvals and set up
Assist PM’s with inputting product information in the automated item master process and monitoring to ensure product codes are set up correctly and in a timely manner
Assist the sales force with ad-hoc requests
Assist PM’s in preparation for annual National Sales Meeting and any regional sales meetings
Creative development and publication of quarterly newsletter
Creative development in support of sales contests and promotions
Coordination and publication of annual Price Books
Attend selected industry & company meetings
Qualifications
Bachelor degree required, with a specialization in Science or Business preferred
Min 2-3 Years of work experience preferred
Strong collaboration & teaming skills with a variety of different cross-functional areas, and ability to influence multiple stakeholders
Big picture orientation with attention to detail, and strategic thinking to apply requirements to a specific business situation
Exemplary communication skills (written and verbal)
Must be self-directed with the ability to be creative and provide solutions to complex problems
Good working knowledge of software programs including Microsoft Office is required
Experience and skills with audio/video filming, production and editing an asset
A working knowledge of French is an asset
Flexible for some overnight travel (10%) for training, meetings, and possible lab assistance
